Lakshya inGame Academy partners with GDCW to make Game Art education accessible for Women

Lakshya inGame Academy has partnered with Government Degree College for Women (GDCW), Begumpet –
affiliated with Osmania University, Hyderabad – to launch a unique initiative aimed at reshaping the future of
game art education. As part of this collaboration, inGame Academy has designed and is delivering a 3-year
undergraduate degree program in 3D Game Art, exclusively for women.

Launched on August 1, 2023, the program currently includes 44 women students across three yearly batches.
Most of them are first-generation learners or come from modest backgrounds, underscoring the initiative’s
focus on inclusivity and accessibility.

The curriculum is designed to be industry-aligned, equipping ‘students with the technical skills and creative
thinking needed to thrive in the ever-evolving world of game development. Two experienced professionals
from Lakshya have been deployed full-time as trainers, teaching and mentoring these students day-to-day —
helping build the foundation for a career in a fast-growing industry.

This partnership is rooted in a dual purpose: to make high-quality game art education accessible to those who
need it most, and to make this unconventional career path aspirational and attainable for women. By doing so,
the initiative seeks to bridge the gender gap in the gaming industry and contribute to a more diverse and
skilled talent pool.

As the program continues to grow, the goal remains clear—to empower women with the skills, confidence,
and opportunities they need to succeed in gaming and adjacent creative industries.
