The India Game Developers Conference 2024 was held in Hyderabad, India, in November 2024, bringing together the gaming industry’s best from around the world. Lakshya Digital was right in the middle of it all, participating by delivering engaging talks, meeting fellow creators and young talent, and sharing our passion for gaming. The event was all about learning, connecting, and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the game development world.
Our team kicked off the conference by engaging in lively discussions with developers and industry professionals who share the same enthusiasm for gaming at the vibrant Keywords Studios booth. Check out how the booth came to life here –
Beyond our booth, we participated in panel discussions. Our CEO and Founder, Manvendra Shukul, led a session focused on how collaboration between the industry and government could shape the future of India’s gaming landscape. Following that, Anando Banerjee, our Production Head India, provided expert insights on establishing Global Capability Centers in India and how they could foster innovation in the gaming sector.
Inclusivity was a key focus for Lakshya at IGDC 2024, in our role as IGDC’s Diversity and Inclusion Partner. Taruna Arora, our Country Manager: People & Culture, launched the GDAI Women in Games Initiative, and Tara Phillips, Keywords Studios’ Art Service Line Director, conducted an engaging session on soft skills, empowering women in gaming to lead with confidence. Karan Verma, our Associate Animation Director, explored the evolving role of animation in modern gaming.

Additionally, Lakshya facilitated the participation of B.Sc. Gaming students from ABC College in Hyderabad at IGDC 2024. This event provided students with a rare and valuable opportunity to witness the work of established game dev studios and learn directly from industry experts through various engaging talks and panel discussions. IGDC 2024 left us inspired and energized. The conversations we had and the connections we made have strengthened our commitment to advancing the gaming industry. We’re excited about what lies ahead and can’t wait for IGDC 2025!
