Lakshya has partnered with the Indian Institute of Creative Technology (IICT) to introduce a specialized program in “3D Environment Art for Video Games.” This six-month, full-time course blends hands-on training, professional mentorship, and placement support to prepare aspiring game artists for careers in the global video games industry.
IICT, set to be a National Centre of Excellence for the AVGC-XR sector (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality) is modelled on the prestigious IITs and IIMs, with a mission to transform education and innovation in creative technology in India. The institute was inaugurated on July 18, 2025, by Shri Devendra Fadnavis, CM of Maharashtra, and Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Information & Broadcasting.
Over the course of six months, students will train in a studio-style environment, spending seven hours a day immersed in practical learning. The curriculum emphasizes proficiency in industry-standard tools including Maya, Blender, ZBrush, and the Substance 3D Suite, alongside exposure to advanced production pipelines. By the time students graduate, students will have built a professional portfolio showcasing industry-ready artwork.
